Glenelg Beach is located 10km from the centre of Adelaide. A popular area of Adelaide to visit all year round.
As well as the popular beach, with the flat sea which makes it perfect for swimming (leave your surf board at home) there are plenty of cafes, restaurants, bars and amusement areas.
To get to Glenelg, there are trams every 15 minutes that leave from the main street of Adelaide, King William Street and take around 30 minutes to get to Glenelg. The tram starts at the new Adelaide Entertainment Centre on Port Road Hindmarsh close to North Adelaide. You can buy tickets on the tram from the conductor. One way tickets are $4.60 or you can buy a day pass for $8.60.
Glenelg Town Hall dates back to 1887.
