Hindley Street is the nightlife capital of Adelaide. Located close to the centre of Adelaide, on the cross road with Rundle Mall it is lined with pubs, bars, nightclubs restaurants and fast food stores.
Hindley Street is sometimes referred to as Adelaide's Red Light district only due to the fact that the cities strip clubs are located here. Hindley Street is nothing like other red light areas of the world and is generally normal nightlife with the bars and pubs.
Friday and Saturday nights are the busiest though the young crowd generally do not start coming until after 10pm. You can go out for a quiet drink or dinner before this time. As with any nightlife area the later into the evening, few plenty of drinks flowing then there can be some trouble. There is generally good police presence throughout the night.
